Union Contractors (Midlands) Ltd were awarded the civil engineering works on this project to build 22 high quality new home plots on a private housing development in Shipston on Stour for Linfoot Homes.  The site was previously a greenfield site which had a few old wooden structures on site, which were cleared in preparation for the works to commence.

Our works included all foundations, roads, drainage, pavements and service ducts and trenches.

Works Carried Out Included

All works were carried out on time and without accident or incident.

• Trench fill Foundations, blockwork and floor construction.
• Thermal suspended floor system, with structural screed, dampproof membrane perimeter upstand and underfloor ventilators.
• Section 278 Works – Entry Road off highway and estate roads (adoptable) and adoptable footpaths (Riven Slab).
• Adoptable drainage, foul drainage, storm drainage.
• SUDS Underground water storage system.
• Raise manhole inspection chamber cover in roads.
• Retaining wall structures.
• Shed, water butt and rotary line bases.
• Fire Hydrants.
• Excavation works for gas, electricity, BT and water, laying pipes and ducting for services.
• All internal housing drainage and services for pipes and ducting from housing to boundary of each plot for electricity, gas and water.
• Top soil to landscaping areas for planting and turfing and removing excess top soil from site.
